General contractor Big River Excavating of Astoria is currently building a $3.7 million reservoir in Seaside.
The Peterson Point Reservoir will be a giant tank located on the city’s water treatment plant site that will hold 4 million gallons of water. The project required the contractor to excavate 47,000 cubic yards of soil. The tank, which is 155 feet in diameter and 36 feet tall, is being built by T. Bailey Inc. of Anacortes, Wash., which specializes in heavy industrial tank projects.
The tank could be completed as early as January.
